Let’s be positive!

Yes, I may be jetlagged, dehydrated, and headachey, but today has been a whole lot better than what I was expecting. Let’s list things:

-My workload this week is not nearly as bad as what I was expecting.

-My figure drawing class started and is amazing so far, even though it took me an hour to get home.

-I was reunited with Zac, and he even wore the flannel mountain man shirt I bought him for Xmas!

-I got a present in the mail from Meow! She is enabling my addiction to bath products!

-My new hipster glasses arrived in the mail today…I’m wearing them now even though they are doing nothing to help my headache, as I am very blind and the prescription is very strong.

-I got first place in the Festive Re-Fredding competition (for the awesome Re-Fredding Fans group on DA)! Also, Weasley-Detectives (one of the most famous reFredders around) made me co-founder of the group. I’m still somewhat worried this is a mistake, as it came without warning, so I’m wary of messing with things. If it is real, I am stoked. 

OK. I am done talking about myself (for now).

Fred was never dead…he just wanted to work in Santa’s workshop for a couple months…nbd!

TIME TO PANIC BECAUSE MY SUBMISSION FOR THE REFREDDING ART CONTEST IS NOT CLOSE TO BEING FINISHED.  

Work has been extremely busy and stressful this week, since most of the people in the lab are going on vacation for the holidays (myself included); there are lab mice to get moved and settled, experiments to finish, and general lab maintenance to do.  As a result, I’ve basically been coming home and flopping on my couch after work…not very good for my drawing productivity!  Still, I AM going home in a week, so I will be able to bask in the Hawaiian sun and finish my “art” there.  I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I’ve been back home…I’m so anxious to get there and be away from this cold East Coast weather!

ReFredding group on DA requested my art to be in their “Featured” folder!

Happy day! Also, I joined the group immediately.  It’s gonna be great!
